Water System Improvements

The City and County of Honolulu (CCH), Board of Water Supply (BWS) is proposing water system improvements in Aiea Heights. The project area is entirely within existing roadway right-of-ways.

The project includes the installation of approximately 4,325 linear feet of new waterlines as well as the inactivation and demolition of existing water lines. The new waterlines will be 6 to 8-inches in diameter.

Project Location

The project will involve water line work on Hahilinai Place, 'Aiea Heights Drive, Aheahe Street, and Hakina Street in Aiea.

Work areas are shown in bright red on the map to the left.

Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) requires federal agencies to consider the effects of their actions on historic properties. Because Federal resources will be used for this project, the Board of Water Supply (BWS) is required to consult with the public concerning the potential effect of the project on historic properties.  We would like to invite you to be a consulting party in the Section 106 consultation process.

The link below will take you to a survey form for this project. You may also email us with the second link below to provide comments without using the survey form, or to request additional information about the project.

The link on the far right will let you view and download the draft Archaeological Literature Review (ALR) report that has been prepared in support of the Section 106 consultation process.  The draft ALR is recommending a project effect determination of "no historic properties affected."
